Assistant Director Job Posting

Founded in 1993, the Eugene Education Foundation serves as the primary fundraising organization for Eugene School District 4J, and engages community support for public education.  EEF welcomes applications for the position of Assistant Director, and seeks an energetic individual who can move easily between responsibilities.   Reporting to the Executive Director, the Assistant Director will work closely with 4J schools in their school-based fundraising efforts, as well as manage the Foundation office. 

Position is part time (approximately 24 hours per week), $20/hour
Must have a valid driver’s license and transportation
Ability to work some nights and weekends

Responsibilities include:
  • School Liaison:
    • Working with administrators, staff,  and parent volunteers at Eugene 4J schools to assist and advise on site-based fundraising efforts
  • Data Management:
    • Entering donation details with a high degree of accuracy
    • Retrieving data from database
  • Day to day operations, including:
    • Working with bookkeeper to ensure accuracy of financials
    • Managing routine communications with the general public, supporters, and district                 administrators
    • Supervision of Office Assistant
  • Grants Management: Organizing and disseminating information to board in regard to EEF’s annual grants
  • Assisting with Foundation events
  • Assisting the Executive Director with public relations via the EEF website, social media, and print communications
  • At least two years nonprofit experience
  • Database management/entry experience
  • Proficiency in office software
  • Excellent organizational and written skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience managing events
  • Ability to supervise others

Preferred consideration will be given to candidates with experience in fundraising support activities, event planning, and/or grants management.
