EEF Grant Scoring Rubric Submission Form for 2021-2022 Applications
Grant scores are due by Monday, February 21.

Grant Scoring Instructions: 
1.  Find your grant reading assignments
Follow THIS LINK (suggestion: right click link to open in a new window in order to keep this window open) to the Grant Reading Assignments Spreadsheet for Grant Applications submitted this cycle. 


Look for your name on the tabs on the grant assignments spreadsheet — you will either be listed as:

  • First Reader – In charge of facilitating discussion about the grant, if needed.
  • Second Reader – In charge of documenting discussion about the grant for EEF’s notes, and in case an applicant requests feedback.
  • Reader – Each grant application from schools will have five (5) readers. 

***If you fail to score a grant you are assigned, it will skew the overall scoring for that application.***


2.  Locate Applications
School Applications:
Click HERE (right click link to open in a new window in order to keep this window open) for the link to a folder that contains all of the grant applications from schools, as well as  any associated attachments.
District Applications:
NOTE: All Board & Staff score every district level application.  
There are 5 district level applications for the February round that are in district folder located HERE.

3. Use the Scoring Rubric form located at the bottom of this page to enter your scores. 
You will use this form for every application, but will need to select the appropriate grant from the dropdown menu. 
Each of the grant application titles is listed under “Application Reviewed” in a pull-down menu on the scoring form.  Please make sure you have chosen the correct grant title before you begin to score it.  
*Once you submit your scores for one grant, click “Launch New Rubric” that will appear that the bottom of the page to allow a blank form to repopulate on the screen for your next set of scores.  

Grant scores for this year’s second round are due by Monday, February 21. 
We will go over grants that merit discussion at the Board Meeting on Thursday, February 24.

  • Equity

  • Please enter a number from 1 to 15.
    Demonstrates commitment to equity and inclusion in educational programs and opportunities.

  • Engagement

  • Please enter a number from 1 to 15.
    Engagement can mean different things to each student, but could also include opportunities for enrichment. The board defines education broadly beyond the core subjects that prepare students for testing requirements. Art, music, and field trips fall within those educational and creative experiences that boost student success.

  • Access

  • Please enter a number from 1 to 15.
    Students cannot learn if they dont have access to school. This can present in a variety of forms but ultimately helps strengthen the connection between students and the district

  • Impact

  • Please enter a number from 1 to 15.
    Impact can be measured in a variety of ways for example: from a mile wide and inch deep to a mile deep and an inch wide. This score should be reflective of the level of impact on the students served

  • Board Focus

  • Please enter a number from 1 to 5.
    STEAM = science, technology, engineering, arts, and math
    CTE = career and technical education

  • Budget

  • Please enter a number from 1 to 6.

  • Application Summary

  • Please enter a number from 1 to 6.

  • Accountability

  • Please enter a number from 1 to 5.

  • Proposal Repeated

  • Please enter a number from 1 to 3.

  • Score Total

  • The Total is out of 85 (needs index and alignment will be added separately)
