Great education doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because of great teachers, coaches, counselors, and administrators who dedicate themselves to shaping the lives of our students. And right now, the Eugene Education Foundation is inviting our entire community to show them how much they matter.

EEF’s Thank-a-Thon, presented by SELCO Community Credit Union, is a simple but powerful way to honor the educators who have made a real difference in the lives of 4J students. Whether it’s a current classroom teacher, a retired principal, a supportive counselor, a bus driver who always had a kind word, or any other staff member who touched your life – EEF’s Thank-a-thon this is your chance to say “thank you.”

And here’s the exciting part: Dr. Larry Hirons, a South Eugene High School alumnus from 1959, has pledged $17,500 to support this initiative. He’s committed to funding grants and support for educators based on the letters received from the community..

Thank you!
