Since 1993, the Eugene Education Foundation has connected the community with programs and projects in every school in Eugene School District 4J in order to increase opportunities for enrichment for all students.
The Eugene Education Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports the Eugene School District 4J. As the Foundation for 4J, EEF serves as the fundraising arm of the district by soliciting donations, hosting an annual gala, and supporting schools and parent groups in their site-based fundraising efforts.
4J currently serves over 16,000 students across 85% of Eugene’s area in 18 elementary schools, a K–8 school, eight middle schools, four comprehensive high schools, an International Baccalaureate (IB) high school program on multiple campuses, alternative high school options, and a life skills program. Program options include three K–12 language immersion programs in Spanish, French and Japanese, and a Spanish/English dual-immersion program in a neighborhood elementary and middle school. In addition, four public charter schools are located in the district.
