Grant Applications for the 2024-25 school year is NOW OPEN!

Every year, EEF funds projects and programs across the district that provide access to an equitable and excellent education, foster a sense of belonging, and provide opportunities for every child to reach their greatest potential. Individual grants are available up to $5,000 for teachers/school staff and up to $10,000 for district-wide programs. See EEF’s priority funding areas below.

Who is eligible to apply? Eugene School District 4J educators and staff members of all kinds are invited to apply. If you have an idea for a project or program that will benefit 4J students, we want to hear from you! All applicants should notify their supervisor of their intent to apply for an EEF grant before submitting a proposal.

When? Applications for the 2024-25 school year grant cycle will open on April 8th, 2024. All applications are due by May 3rd at 11:59pm. Applicants will be notified of their award status in late June 2024. Award notifications will be made after the end of the 2023-24 school year. However, funds will be available for use by awardees before the start of the 2024-25 school year. This means awardees will have the entire school year to implement their programs!
Note: Requests that include a technology or curriculum component must be approved by a member of the 4J Technology Department or Instruction staff. All requests that include a facilities improvement component must undergo a FIP approval process (be sure to include “EEF Grant” in the project description). Please allow extra time to gain the appropriate approval prior to submitting an application. See application for further details.

How? In 2023, EEF adopted new grant software that will make applying for grants easier. EEF is constantly pursuing updates to our grant making process that will make funds more accessible to educators, so you can spend more time making learning happen.

In 2022, EEF completed a strategic planning process to guide our work over the following 5 years.

Equity is embedded throughout our grants making policies and practices.
