Touchdowns for Teachers: OnPoint’s Game-Changing Support Continues

Every touchdown at Autzen Stadium this season has meant more than just points on the scoreboard – it’s meant real dollars flowing into Eugene’s classrooms. Thanks to OnPoint Community Credit Union’s creative “Touchdown for Teachers” program, each time the Ducks scored at home, $1,000 was added to a growing fund for Eugene Education Foundation (EEF). Now, after an exciting season of Duck football, that support reached an impressive $40,000!

This isn’t just a one-time play, either. OnPoint has become a true champion for Eugene’s students, with this year’s contribution bringing their total support to $80,000 over the past two years.

The grand finale of this season’s partnership took place right where it all started – on the field at Autzen Stadium. During the November 30th University of Oregon football game, OnPoint showcased their $40,000 contribution in a special presentation that celebrated the power of community support for education.

Since 1993, EEF has been working behind the scenes to create bright futures for students in Eugene District 4J Public Schools. With partners like OnPoint – Oregon’s largest credit union serving over 581,000 members – that mission keeps getting stronger. OnPoint’s commitment to community shows through not just in their size ($9.4 billion in assets!) but in their dedication to making real differences in local communities across their service area of 28 Oregon counties and two Washington counties.

What does this mean for Eugene’s students? The continued support helps EEF:

  • Create more “yes!” moments for innovative teaching ideas
  • Open doors to new learning opportunities for all students
  • Build stronger connections between schools and community
  • Turn great educational ideas into reality
